‘Round the World Wrap-up, 10/2

Here we are with another ‘Round the World Wrap-up, coming to you straight from rural Connecticut! Yes, that’s right folks — I’ve turned in the keys to my Harlem apartment and have exchanged giant rats for giant spiders as I moved back into my parents place just yesterday. It’s a temporary thing while I count down the days to my December 31st flight to Colombia and lucky for you, it means LOTS more time to write! But for now, while I try not to get creeped out by how dark and quiet it gets in the middle of nowhere and Abby recovers from her weekend at Chowder Fest in Long Beach Island, we give you some great pieces from bloggers around the globe…

Legal Nomads Instagramming Portugal

Jodie of Legal Nomads is definitely one of our favs. Her stunning photography often involves food and its almost as fun to read about and look at as it would be to eat. (Almost.) This post takes the Instagram approach as she captures some gorgeous scenes from her time in Porto, Portugal.

Aviators and a CameraMy Spanish Villa

Just as we at SOTC have a tendency to search for places we could call home when we travel, so does Kristen Alana of Aviators and a Camera. She found her home away from home at a charming villa in Olot. Her photography is makes me feel like I’m curling up on that white couch, listening to the ocean.

Sagada, Philippines

Go BackpackingSagada: An Unbelieveable Place in the Philippines

Ever seen coffins hanging from the side of a rock wall? Me either — but Mark Wiens of GoBackpacking  did in the very secluded mountains of Sagada in the Philippines. That would be a pretty bad ass way to spend the afterlife — so long as the ropes hold.

I'm a restless writer with a passion for travel, and an inkling that my generation will change the world for the better. I want to be a part of it all.
