We thought we had reached the finish line when we entered Mongolia’s capital city. Little did we know that driving through Ulaanbaatar takes about as long as driving through the rest of Mongolia. Of the 2.8 million people that live in the whole of Mongolia, half of them call this city home, creating some of the worst traffic we’d seen on our 10,000 mile route.
So, we still had a ways to go, even once we were in Ulaanbaatar. It was a little frustrating with all that finish line energy, bubbling through our veins (which may have also been hunger, beer thirst, and a desperate need to pee) but luckily, we saw this amazing storefront about halfway through bumper to bumper Hell. This Gangnam Style store, fully equiped with a very life-like depiction of Psy, made life OK for another hour of stressful driving, and the laughs lasted almost all the the way to the finish line.
The Gangnam Style sign did not, however, help with my need to pee.
Stay tuned to hear about the last leg of our Mongol Rally adventure!
